FIREFIGHTERS and police rushed to a canal after a moped and helmet were seen floating in the water.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the canal off Salwarp Road in Droitwich at 7.30am today.
Alec Mackie, spokesman for the service, said: A passer-by had spotted a moped and a moped riders helmet, the helmet was floating and the moped was half submerged in the canal.
Fire crews launched an inflatable boat and searched the canal bed retrieving the helmet and bike.
There were concerns someone may have been riding the moped when it went into the canal, but this was not the case
