ONOLULU -- A moped driver and his passenger were critically injured early Monday morning after a car slammed into them.
The crash happened just before 5 a.m. at the intersection of Ward Avenue and Beretania Street.

A 15-year-old moped rider died in a road accident after being pursued by a police car, Scotland Yard said.
Police said a marked car followed the youth after he drove on when officers attempted to stop him in West Norwood, south-east London, at 8.40pm on Saturday.
Around five minutes later, he came off the moped and was given first aid at the scene by officers, police said. The London Ambulance Service was called and the teenager was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
